Great views and lovely spot to sit. The cocktails are great, presented beautifully and a few of them come out with fun quirks eg smoke etc. The waitress did advise us we had 10 minutes left on our booking at 6:40pm though when we only got there at 6pm and were waiting for a 7pm table at the restaurant, so we felt a bit awkward at the end about where we were supposed to go as the restaurant table wasn’t yet ready.

Perfect venue for a special occasion and it's nice to find a place where they provide table service and look after their customers. We found the staff at Romberg's absolutely welcoming and attentive upon arrival. For a birthday celebration we wanted somewhere a bit different, and Romberg's was perfect! Stunning views across Newcastle Town Hall, Civic Park and all the way across to Bar Beach. We arrived at sunset and had a breathtaking vista as we sipped on cocktails. Yes there are much cheaper places to visit, but that's not the point: the venue, the views, the professional waitstaff, the decor and the quiet and lush surrounds are what makes Romberg's worth it. And you MUST try the Worker's Club cocktail. Will definitely be back for another special night out.

Finally went to Romberg's rooftop bar and had 5 star service from Mo and other staff. The cocktails were delicious (had the Winter Breeze and Clocktower), and we were seated close to the view. We'll return for drinks at sunset next time

No better spot in Newcastle for a cocktail before dinner. You've got a great view and some fun different cocktails to try. My whisky cocktail arrived very theatrically, all smoke and fun.

When in Newcastle, be sure to book a table the Roundhouse restaurant. The view is spectacular, of the surrounding port area of the city. At the restaurant you can indulge in a delicious menu using locally produced ingredients and presented in a sophisticated way. We dined at the restaurant for lunch in a large group and had the three course menu designed for Christmas with and entree, main and dessert. Some of the standout dishes included - the lightly cured line caught kingfish, green apple, celery, lemon balm. This was so delicious, light and refreshing. - the Roasted free range duck breast, duck leg, beetroot, almond, cherries, a lovely Christmas option. - Grain fed beef tenderloin, glazed carrot, onion, horseradish, peppercorn jus. Perfectly cooked and decent portion for sure. For drinks, the roundhouse has an extensive wine list inspired by wines from the Hunter Valley region, but in addition, there’s amazing cocktails. You can have the cocktails at the restaurant or specially visit Romberg’s Bar

Came in tonight with my husband and we had such a lovely night!! Beautiful venue and view, and incredible service. You can tell how much care and effort goes into each cocktail, they look beautiful and they’re so yummy!! Thank you to Cait for making our experience so special, the perfect start to our long weekend trip to Newcastle! We will definitely be recommending this venue to our friends!

We opted for the Amalfi long lunch Friday 15 Dec. We were the first customers try it. It's their summertime special. Generous portions, friendly and attentive wait staff, great vibe and those views...bellisimo. Each course came out in a timely fashion and the flavours of each dish distinguishable and as discribed on the menu. We had plenty of time to enjoy the our Apperol spritz that is included in the price.

Long lunch with bottomless cocktails at The Romberg is an absolute gem! From the moment you step in, the stunning views set the stage for a truly memorable experience. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet welcoming, perfect for a relaxing afternoon or a special occasion. The cocktails are a work of art—thoughtfully crafted and bursting with flavor. The food? Simply divine. Each dish was perfectly prepared, offering a delightful balance of flavors that showcased the chef’s expertise. What truly made the experience exceptional, however, was the impeccable service provided by Alex. Attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm, Alex went above and beyond to ensure our afternoon was flawless. It’s rare to find someone who so effortlessly enhances an already perfect setting. The Romberg is a must-visit, and I can’t wait to return. If you’re lucky enough to have Alex as your server, you’re in for a real treat!

I've stayed at this Crystalbrook a couple of times and had drinks at Romberg's each time. Great spot. Fantastic setting, nice wine list (a good selection under Coravin!) and delicious snacks. Holly served us this time and was awesome. I'll be here next time I'm in Newcastle as well...
